Riders join the platform by creating an account on zipi.com. They submit basic identifying details, as well as their UIUC NetID, which enables us to confirm their UIUC student status. |

Riders can match with drivers traveling on a similar route at a similar time. Currently, Zipi only operates during peak-times (Fall break, Winter Break, Spring Break, etc.) but may extend to full-time operations later on in the Spring semester. |

Once riders book, they are sent an e-mail with all information needed for the ride, such as pickup time, rider policies, and driver information. Drivers will reach out to riders before the departure time to more closely coordinate pickup. |

Zipi's 24/7 dispatch team will be monitoring all rides at all times. In the unlikely event of delays, driver cancellations, etc., we will do our best to accomodate you on a new vehicle leaving at a similar time free of charge. |
